Lupus

Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease that occurs when the body's immune system attacks its own tissues and organs. This attack causes inflammation, which can lead to permanent tissue damage and affect many parts of the body, including the skin, joints, heart, lungs, kidneys, blood cells, and brain.

Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA)

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic autoimmune disease that causes inflammation of the joints and surrounding tissues. It occurs when the body's immune system attacks its own tissues, which can lead to pain, swelling, stiffness, and loss of function in the joints. RA can affect the joints in the hands, wrists, knees, and feet, and can also affect other parts of the body, such as the lungs, heart, and eyes.

Psoriasis

Psoriasis is a chronic autoimmune skin disease that causes skin cells to multiply too quickly, resulting in inflamed, red, raised patches of skin that can develop into silvery scales. These patches can appear anywhere on the body, but are most common on the scalp, elbows, knees, lower back, face, palms, and soles of the feet. Psoriasis can also affect fingernails, toenails, and the mouth.

Crohn's Disease

Crohn's disease is a chronic inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) that causes inflammation in the digestive tract. It can affect any part of the digestive tract, but most commonly affects the small intestine and the beginning of the large intestine.

Hashimoto Thyroiditis

Hashimoto's disease is an autoimmune disorder affecting the thyroid gland. The thyroid is a butterfly-shaped gland located at the base of the neck just below the Adam's apple. The thyroid produces hormones that help regulate many functions in the body. In Hashimoto's disease, immune-system cells lead to the death of the thyroid's hormone-producing cells. The disease usually results in a decline in hormone production (hypothyroidism).
